This stepping stone is the first mosaic I made. No, your eyes are not deceiving you, and Yes, that is a purple cat. Everyone laughed at me for using purple stained glass, even I was laughing, but when we saw the final project I knew I had picked the right color of glass. This purple cat greets me everytime I walk up my front steps. It brings life to my dead flower bed. 
The colors of a stained glass window when the sun shines through is magical, but in a mosaic piece the grout is what makes the colors pop. I have been working with stained glass for over twenty years. I love the sound of the score, breaking and cutting of the glass. The pictures you can create with pieces of glass are endless. Purple Cat
